What is PSM?

Plastarch Material (PSM for short) is biodegradable resin made from corn starch designed to suppliment or even replace conventional petroleum based plastics. Years of research in the attempt to find an biodegradable alternatives has lead to the development of a process that converts corn starch successfully into a material which carries plastic characteristics. PSM consists of more than 80% corn starch, and it can completely return to nature after being used.

PSM raw material and finished goods are ideal for a wide variety of applications including food packaging, industrial packaging, medical products and disposable items. The high heat tolerance and other superior manufacturing characteristics make it a great fit for many thermoforming, injection molding, blown film, and foaming applications.
